"Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak was the very first book that we bought for our baby's library. This story of a little boy with a powerful imagination and the power of a mother's love is still one of our favorites.
So naturally, we traveled through night and day, and in and out of weeks, and almost over a year to the Smokey Mountains to get the perfect shot of this perfect story in its natural habitat.🌲🌄💫
In "Where the Wild Things Are" a young boy is being rowdy so he is sent to his room without supper. He decides to travel far, far away to where the wild things are and is crowned the king of all the wild things. After more playful games, the boy realizes that he wants to be where someone loves him most of all- so he goes home. A sweet reminder of his mother's love is there waiting for him.
